Location &Transportation

Locations
Conference events will be held primarily in Park Hall, the home of the UGA Department of English and Richard B. Russell Special Collections. A multimedia theatre presentation will take place in the Dancz Center for New Music located at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music and an optional speaker presentation will be held in the Miller Learning Center. Saturdays events will be held at the Athens-Clarke County Public Library

Transportation
To encourage sustainability, we recommend utilizing Athens' public transportation system or enjoying a short walk from your hotel.
​
Athens Transit
Buses run Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with few exceptions.
Fares are $1.75 for those ages 19-64, $1 (during peak hours) or $0.85 (during non-peak) for Senior Citizens & Persons with Disabilities, and free for those under 17 with proof of ID. Be prepared to use exact change when utilizing the bus. Note that the bus does not stop at every stop: while at the bus stop, flag your driver by raising your hand; to exit, pull one of the metal alert levers prior to your stop.

Relevant Routes:
Route 5: Beechwood Baxter – Runs between the Special Collections Library and the Athens Clarke County Public Library
Route 12: Riverbend – UGA Arch or Library and runs to Performing Arts Center (near the Dancz Center for New Music)
Route 23: Oconee Street Park and Ride – Limited Service (7:00-8:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.); Offers free parking all day. Lot also can be serviced by Routes 25 and 27.

Walking & Cycling
Most hotels located downtown are within walking distance of conference activities. Athens is bike friendly; if you would prefer to cycle, there are plenty of bike stands located across campus for your convenience.

Driving & Parking
Parking on the UGA Campus is available in the North Deck (N06, located on S. Jackson St.), the Tate Center Deck (S02, located on Lumpkin St.), or the Hull St. Deck (W05, located on S. Hull St.). These decks are pay-by-the hour and enforced from 7:00 a.m. from 11:00 p.m. The maximum fee in each deck is $10.00/day.

Parking at the Athens-Clarke County library is a free surface lot.
